Meizu MX4

Well I’m about to get my MX4 model in the next days . I want to ask if I root it by the way above (the same as MX3) will every time a window pop up asking to allow permissions? Is there the Flyme Superuser app to install or not? Thank you!

I’ve installed King User on my MX4, no problem with it and it doesn’t always send a popup to ask if I authorize root access :)

The Dual-Mode version of Flyme Superuser works.

Meizu MX4

Thank both of you! I think I’ll go with the Dual-Mode version of Flyme Superuser.

The Dual-Mode version of Flyme Superuser works.

When I installed that, it asks to install 'the super user binary’
But options are cancel or recovery.
When I select recovery it boots to recovery.
But only option is to flash update.zip
How did you install it?

EDIT:
I installed the latest version from the mx3 thread. Works fine.

You need yo reinstall your last ROM with full factory reset.

hello,
I just made the switch from iOS to android. yes you can !
I rooted my mx4 and i’m able to see the hidden developer tools.
But… if I run an app to check if my device is rooted it says no…
When running superuser, to grant permission to apps, nothing happens. The app that i want to launch (all stream -> to enable streaming towards apple tv) keeps saying that i have first to root my device.
So I’m confused… Is my mx4 rooted or not?

Administrator

I suppose this is caused by the missing remember function.
Simply install SuperUser from Chainfire (Play Store), open the app and install the binaries and you should be fine.

Hello to all,

I’ve been experiencing a problem with the root system, as you describe it. Please, help me if you can.
The problem is, I follow the first 2 steps,
1. Make sure you’re logged in into your Flyme account.
2. Go to Settings --> Accounts --> *your Flyme account*

But when I get there, I don’t have the “Open system privileges” tab nowhere in sight.
My OS is Flyme 4.0.4Y

Thanks

Why when I do the thing in dialer it says I need to turn on developer mode.
What can I get from rooting and doing that thing?
