Meizu m2 mini :: uninstall pre installed apps

Hi all!

I have just got a new brand Meizu m2 mini, and it is really awesome!

Anyway, I would like to get rid of some pre installed annoying apps, such as DU Speed booster, DU Battery, default brower, Malaysia News, etc,

I have created a Flyme account, and in Settings/Flyme/My account/System privileges, it is enabled. If I get into it, I see a list of installed apps, and I allow root access to apps such us SuperSu, Uninstaller Pro, etc. but I haven’t succeeded with non of them to remove pre installed apps.

They (SuperSU, Uninstaller Pro) keep saying they don’t have root permissions, but according to Flyme account privileges they do!

How can I get rid of pre installed apps?

Thanks in advance.

Basically official Flyme firmwares should come without all this bloatware.
All what it takes is to reinstall the firmware.

Check our F.A.Q. for detailed instructions.

Official firmware without bloatware?!

For m2 (minin) you have only 4.5.3.2 A to download and that one is full of bloatware., no matter how many times one reinstalls.

And there is nothing about (no bloatware in A firmware) in the FAQ

@zgfg Install the original Flyme OS, and you will have no bloatware. Also you may want to keep the preinstalled apps that aren’t easy to be removed, those are deep in your Android system and bring trouble for you when removed by force.

However, learning by doing is the best way to learn, so try your luck.

Contradiction: ‘suggestion’ to install official ROM since there are no ‘bloatware’ in but then that there are some (bloatware or how better to call them) apps deep in (for the matter of fact, they are deep in Flyme version A, not in stock Android).

Fact that this bloatware is deep baken into the A firmware (and the fact that for m2 mini there is no officially available I ROM) does not diminish the fact that those apps are still bloatware. Some can be easy and safely unistalled (at least, that could have been described in the all-mighy FAQ) but the rest cannot, although some can still be safely frozen.

Thanks for suggestions for FAQ, learning, reinstalling from scratch. Been there , done that. And still see bloatware upon reinstallation.

Maybe I’m wrong, maybe any criticism against Meizu or Flyme is not welcome on the Forum. Hopefully not.

@zgfg with that I mean e.g. the calendar as it is based on the google calendar, the app-center as it is related to the play store and a lot of other stuff, so if you delete that you are fucked. Some people still delete those things and well, guess what, their phone doesn’t work after this, they don’t think that far ahead and blame them-self for it though.

Anyway, delete and mess around with your system as much as you want to. Learning by doing is a great way to learn. Remove what you want, if something doesn’t work out, don’t ask for help just flash a new firmware and clear all data.

And about the last part, criticize Flyme and Meizu as much as you want, nobody here is related to the brand. So we don’t care about it.
We work volunteer in our free time to help people. Just sometimes people are too stubborn or just ignorant to accept the help or guidance and in such a case there is no need to help.

Saying that is almost an offense for me. After all what Meizu tried to do to this forum.
I hope they go bankrupt with their management.
